I Can Name That Tune In _____ Notes

I've been attempting to organize some mp3s and other digital music files that I've ripped or, god forbid, downloaded (maybe even from the Russians).

Well I had a (downloaded ) mp3 file for a while that wasn't properly tagged that had the somewhat enigmatic name "track03.mp3".

I listened to the file and couldn't figure out either who the artist was or what CD/album it might have been from. It was clear that it was a jazz tune but other than that I was at a loss.

Fortunately I came across this free file, Tunatic, installed it, and in less than 10 seconds the programme informed me that the tune was Lilia by Wayne Shorter. This tune was the third track on Native Dancer, an album orignally released by Shorter in 1974. I was impressed.

So if your digital music library has a few mystery tunes you might want to give Tunatic a try.

A bet on the big game: $20.00

Three pizzas from Jameson's: $23.49

Watching a recording of the boys in HD after the game with some folks from the pub: yes, you know it's PRICELESS.
