Decided to apply a little signal detection theory to my experience last weekend on crossing the border with Therzo. Here's basically the fourfold table that applies.
Well, I guess you can imagine which decision the idiots at Canada Customs made. Yes, they did indeed have a "False Alarm" that resulted in us being detained at the border for about 45 minutes and the border guards searching our persons and my vehicle. And to think these fools are lobbying for guns!
Welcome to Canada indeed!

This was not the easiest border crossing. It was actually an uncalled for stop and search.
However, I don't know if it had so much to do with brown skin as it did with an odd-looking pairing and "anxious" behaviour on the part of the driver. I suppose these idiots are being "trained" to look for suspicious pairings (especially involving brown skin) because of fear of drugs. Though I don't know how much drug running there is up to Canada.
In any case, it was somewhat odd that the on a trip to America the worst people we met were Canadians.
I think the driver was anxious because of an 0-4 morning trying to get into a Taco Bell.
What can I say -- you'd be anxious too if you hadn't been able to successfully obtain a chalupa in four attempts!
