Dexter's Lab For 18+

Watched US Showtime's new show Dexter last night (shown on Movie Central at various times throughout the week).

This show is DARK. Similar in some ways to a mix between the too short-lived Profit and any one of the various CSI's with just a little bit of Death Wish thrown in, the show is sure to provoke extreme reactions (some will hate it -- other love it).

The series is based on Jeff Lindsay's "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" and tells the story of a child, Dexter, orphaned at the age of four who is adopted by family. The father, a police officer recognizes Dexter's homicidal tendencies and guides him to channel his passion for human vivisection in a constructive way - by killing heinous perpetrators who are above the law or who have slipped through the cracks of justice.

I'm staying tuned for a while anyway.

i've read a few reviews and previews of this series. Looking forward to checking it out, I've always enjoyed his work on Six Feet Under, and look forward to a bloodier, gorier side. Speaking of which, how's the lid?
